How to Apply


 

Application procedure

Important note 1: In order to study in TMU, you must enter Iran via student visa.

Important note 2: In order to study in TMU, participation in all the classes is mandatory from the beginning of the semester.

Important note 3: You must apply for educational residency after entering to Iran via student visa.

Dear applicants:

There are 2 ways for application to study at Tarbiat Modares University (TMU):

1. Go to int.modares.ac.ir/ Apply now. Fill out the Application form number 1 in English or Persian and send it along with all required documents (see admission requirements).
Or
2. Please send all required documents (see admission requirements) via email to tmu.int@modares.ac.ir

Admission Requirements :

  1. Application Form (Form Number 1)
    :: In English
    :: In Persian
    :: In Arabic
  2. A Readable Scan of First Page of Your Passport
  3. A personal Picture
  4. Official Transcript of your scores in Bachelor Degree (for MSc. Applicants)
  5. Official Transcript of your scores in Bachelor and Master Degree (for PhD. Applicants)
  6. Proof of Language Proficiency (English or Persian)*
    *Applicants with no proof of language proficiency need to attend our Persian Language Education Courses after Receiving Final Acceptance.

Note 1: Fill out the application form in English or Farsi and send it along with the documents
Note 2: Please send two valid contact numbers in your application form.
Note 3: PhD applicants should determine the exact type of their program (research-based or taught/research-based)
Note 4: All submitted documents must be valid and have high resolution, otherwise they are not accepted.
Note 5: Education degree of applicants who have studied outside of Iran must be approved by the Iranian embassy in the respective country before submission.
Note 6: Submitted document and transcripts must be in Persian or English.
Note 7: Translated documents must have a valid university seal and signature.


To complete your formal application process please:
Register in http://old.saorg.ir:8081/. After registration in English language in the system (The Persian language is also available for those who are familiar with Persian language) and uploading the required documents, you will receive a specific code. Please send this code via email to tmu.int@modares.ac.ir.

If you have any problem regarding the registration in the website or dealing with the forms, please do not hesitate to contact us via tmu.int@modares.ac.ir.

 

Before You Start:

  • Make sure you have filled out the application form completely (Form Number 1)
  • Make sure you have provided a readable scan of first page of your passport
  • Make sure you have provided a personal picture file
  • Make sure you have provided a transcript of your scores in Bachelor Degree (for MSc. applicants) or a transcript of your scores in Bachelor and Master Degree (for PhD. applicants)

Optional:

  • Make sure you have provided a short C.V.
  • Make sure you have provided 2 recommendation letters

Note 8: Dear applicant, after acceptance, you must pay the prepayment of the tuition fee for the first semester to the following bank account:
